	A typical French gite with a small garden in front separated from the neighbouring holiday property by an adjoining barn and a hedge. In a small hamlet 5 minutes drive from the local village and also from the nearby market town of Mussidan with shops, supermarkets, banks etc. An ideal and inexpensive base from which to set out to explore all the sites of the Dorodgne, both close at hand and further afield. The entrance door leads intothe kitche/diner, with gas cooker, fridge,microwave, sink and kitchen dresser. A table and chairs for four occupy the centre of the kitchen in front of the fireplace. There is a large living room, withy television (French),, double bedroom, large shower room and separate wc. A utility room houses the washing machine. Outside the gite is surrounded by its own private garden. There is off road parking, garden furniture and a barbecue. Situated in the Vallee de l’Isle the area has numerous places of interest to visit including the regional park at Lake Jemaye, with sandy beach, swimming, boating and nature trails. The Abbaye Notre Dame de Bonne Esperance at Echourgnac a Cistercien monastery where you can sample and perhaps take home the famous cheese. The nearby market town of Mussidan with it’s large Saturday morning market has the Museum Andre Voulgre, a bourgeois house with a collection evoking the crafts of times past. For those seeking something more active, why not hire a canoe, or an electric boat at nearby Neuvic, a boat trip on a traditional Gabare from the Moulin de Duellas at St Martial d’Artenset. A little further away but within easy reach for a day out are all the classic sites of the Dordogne, from dramatic and picturesque medieval stone villages to pre-historic cave dwellings and fairy tale chateaux, not forgetting the world famous vineyards.
