St Cirq-Lapopie sits high above the Lot valley to the east of Cahors with its attractive stone and half-timbered buildings. Rocamadour is to the north, with its ramparts and village houses clinging to the rock face above the Alzou gorge and the beautiful town of Sarlat is in nearby Dordogne.
